Combat Equipment represents about 75% of the character's total stats during combat. Thus, players can be flexible in experimenting with various fighting styles and strategies simply by changing equipment in battle. Players can go full hybrid, following the motto "you are what you wear".
Combat Equipment consists of the following items (crafted by a Forge Master), all of which are tradable:
Defensive parts
Helmet;
Chestplate;
Leggings;
Gloves;
Boots.
These five parts are 1:1 tied to one of the targetable areas of the body.
They will have:
boosts your attributes;
8 resistances to damage types (FOR THE SPECIFIC TARGETABLE AREA).
Helmet: Defines the resistances when your Head is targeted. Will have a balance between defensive and offensive attributes.
Chestplate: Defines defenses when your Chest is targeted. Will have mostly defensive attributes.
Leggings: Defines defenses when your Groin is targeted. Will have mostly defensive attributes.
Gloves: Defines defenses when your Stomach is targeted. Will have a balance between defensive and offensive attributes.
Boots: Defines defenses when your Legs are targeted. Will have a balance between defensive and offensive attributes.
Example:
SX Gloves
Attributes:
+50 HP
+20 Defense
Resistances:
Radioactive Damage - 0%
Bio Damage - 5%
Piercing Damage - 25%
Plasma Damage - 10%
Fire Damage - 10%
Neuro Damage - 20%
Cyber Damage - 0%
Electromagnetic Damage - 5%
So, if someone targets your Stomach with a Fire attack and you have not defended it during this round, you will take 90% of that damage.
Weapons
You have two slots for weapons. You can have two weapons, a two-handed weapon, or a weapon and protective item.
Weapons are the main source of your Attack Power, whereas protective items have mostly defensive attributes.
Weapons have:
Attributes, mostly offensive;
An Attack Power value;
The type (or types) of damage they do.
Example:
Laser Gun
Damage:
32

+5% critical damage
Ignore 5 points of defense
Damage type:
80% Radioactive
20% Piercing
Eye Implant
This item may carry ANY type of passive ability; for example, whenever you suffer from a new Status Effect, it heals 10HP. These abilities can be offensive, defensive, or utility-based.
Energy Shield Generator
This defensive item grants you a small HP reduction from the total damage your opponent deals to you at the start of every round.
Cybernetic Relics
The smallest slots may contain up to 4 Cybernetic Relics, each possessing a unique condition. If you manage to trigger the condition, you will receive its bonuses. For example, one relic could give you a +20% damage boost if you successfully deal a total of 35+ Fire damage. If these conditions are met, these items will be exhausted for this battle. They can be offensive, defensive, or utility-based.
